Agro-Food industry / Animal feed

The European commission has published Regulation 183/2005, of 12 January of the European Parliament and of the Council laying down requirements for feed hygiene establishing the obligatory registration of all animal feed manufacturers, the harmonisation of hygiene regulations in the EU, the introduction of the main HACCP in the animal feed sector and compliance by primary producers of the good practices codes in hygiene-related matters.

Requirements that must be complied with by animal feed factories, deriving from the application of animal feed hygiene regulations.

What is it? The hazards map for animal feed is a database in which information can be found on the current legislation affecting animal foods, limits of biological, chemical and physical contaminants in raw materials and animal feed and data on raw materials such as their origin, description and the analytical tests carried out.

Any company that wishes to access this free map only has to register by filling in the form that appears when the question "Do you wish to register?" is selected. Within a few minutes, the company will receive an e-mail confirming unlimited access to any information it might require.
